The Real Me
Art is everywhere and its in all of us. We are stamped by our Creator with creativity. We depend on it to make our grey skies blue. It defines who we are as a culture. The greatest impulse in my life, next to being a loyal husband and a strong father, is to fashion beauty with my hands and to inspire this drive in others.
Significant Past
I have no degrees, but have attended several colleges and universities (such as the University of California in Riverside) as well as correspondence and trade schools (such as the Lankershim Academy of Animation). I have worked for Disney and Warner Brothers Studios and been partly or fully self-employed for nearly twenty years.
Third Generation
I am the third to bear the name and the gift. My grandfather, Vern Senior, was an accomplished painter and sculptor as well as a missionary to the Far East. My father was a woodcarver and landscape painter with a heart for the Lord and the soul of a poet. My mother taught me cartooning and design from the time I could lift a pencil.
